Permission to eat...

A secondary school in Rochdale is keeping a record of each child's lunch choices - and sending a report to parents. You can't run, you can't hide, and even if you snaffle a burger while claiming to have eaten carrot salad, we'll know.........

The deputy head of my kids' school is also the co-ordinator of the "Healthy School" initiative (I think they get some sort of charter mark for it). My son's friend went through a picky phase a while ago and would only eat biscuits at breakfast and break time. As this was deemed an unhealthy snack he was forced to eat it in the toilet by this teacher. I am not making this up. The little boy was five at the time.
